Mui Ne is one of the resort paradises in Vietnam, where you can find beautiful beaches, white sand dunes, luxurious hotels and resorts, and plenty of tourist attractions to explore. In this article, let’s explore the Mui Ne coastal area with SVietnam Travel.
Overview of Mui Ne
Mui Ne is a coastal region in the southern part of Vietnam, located in Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province. With its long sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, smooth white sand dunes, stunning natural scenery, and year-round relaxation opportunities, Mui Ne has received significant investments from international resort chains and quickly become a beloved destination for both domestic and international tourists. In addition to the love of tourists, one of the well-deserved recognitions Mui Ne has received is its designation as a national tourist area in Vietnam in 2018.
The Best Time to Visit Mui Ne
The weather in Mui Ne is typically divided into two seasons: the rainy season and the dry season.
The rainy season usually begins from May to October with a fairly hot climate. However, the rains in this period are usually not prolonged, so you can still enjoy the beach and relax.
The dry season typically starts from November and lasts until April of the following year. The temperature in Mui Ne during this time is quite pleasant, around 30 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for outdoor exploration and activities.
From January to March, Mui Ne is considered the best time to visit, especially if you want to conquer the big waves and enjoy windsurfing.

Things to do and Things to see in Mui Ne
Rang Beach in Mui Ne is one of the most beautiful beaches in Phan Thiet, offering a blend of simplicity, tranquility, and luxury. This unique charm is due to the contrasting images of modern resorts and the peaceful Mui Ne fishing village located nearby.
Mui Ne Fishing Village
Mui Ne Fishing Village is an intriguing destination you shouldn’t miss when you visit. To experience the beauty of this fishing village, you need to wake up very early (around 5 AM) to witness the sunrise and observe the bustling activities of fishing boats coming and going with a variety of fresh seafood caught by local fishermen. If you wish, you can purchase some seafood at very reasonable prices, rent cooking services, and enjoy your meal right there, which is a delightful experience.
Hon Rom is an island near the coast of Phan Thiet, connected to the mainland by a narrow strip of land. This place still maintains a pristine natural beauty as it has not been heavily developed for tourism. The beach at Hon Rom is stunning and perfect for swimming, watching the sunset, and camping.
Located near Hon Rom, Suoi Tien is another popular spot for tourists. This 1.8-kilometer-long stream flows into the sea, with one side bordered by natural orange-colored rock formations and the other side covered in lush green trees, creating a beautiful landscape.
Ta Cu Mountain
If you enjoy physical activities like hiking and mountain climbing, Ta Cu Mountain is a suitable choice. With an elevation of approximately 650 meters above sea level, you can conquer the summit using more than 1,000 stone steps. However, if you prefer not to climb, you can take a cable car with a stunning panoramic view. The highlight of the trekking journey is the enormous reclining Buddha statue at the mountain’s peak.
Ke Ga Lighthouse
This over 100-year-old lighthouse, designed by a French architect, was constructed using materials imported from France. The lighthouse’s purpose is to guide ships at sea with its light. To visit Ke Ga Lighthouse, you’ll need to rent a canoe to reach the island and then climb more than 180 steps to reach the lighthouse’s peak. From the top, you’ll have a wide and panoramic view of the magnificent surrounding landscape.
Co Thach Stone Beach
Stopping at Co Thach Stone Beach, you’ll have the opportunity to admire a dazzling array of rocks in various colors and sizes. When you arrive at the stone beach, you can also combine your visit with nearby attractions, such as:
Co Thach Pagoda
This temple, built in the 19th century, holds significant religious importance for the local people in the area.
